What would you say?

I post my little posts because they make ME think. I figure, if it can do that for me, then maybe it can do the same for someone else. We all lose ourselves within our own pity and that is ok sometimes. You have to take time for yourself, if you don't your life will pass you by, and then what? It took me a loooooooooooong time to figure it out for myself, but I know now that I don't want my life to be all about doing everything for eveyone else. If I do that, and don't pay attention to my needs, then how long do you think I can possibly keep up? If I get sick and dont take care of myself, then who will take care of my kids? If something in my life needs attention, then I tend to it, if not, things can get out of control. There are times when you have to face your life, not escape it by doing for others. No one's life is perfect, there will always be problems to solve. But you can't do anything until you take care of your own needs, first. So take whatever time you need. Ask for help, when you need it ( yeah like that will happen!) - it's times like this when I wish we had emoticons! - But when you have prayed long and hard and still the answer doesn't come, back off from the problem, "let go, and let God" - but you, of all people, should not worry about the legacy you leave. You are a wonderful, caring person. You have done everything you can for so many. You have gone above, and beyond, many times. And no, you do not hear it often enough, but you are an incredible inspiration to me and I want to thank you for being a part of my life and a part of this site, with out you, it just would not be the aidpage it has been. Thank you for being you. 

WHO~KNEW

Your post has made me think. Lately , I have been feeling sorry for myself about my situation and whether or not I have made a difference in this world. It is time for me to start thinking of what I would say if I knew I was going to die soon . One NEVER knows . I could have a brick fall from a building that I am passing by and there I go .... The same thing could happen to anyone that I love. I don't even want to think about losing anyone , but it could happen .   Anyone could die in a freak accident or from many other situations and be gone in a flash. A very sad example of this is someone in my own circle of friends . He was standing on the top of a ladder(8-foot ladder ) painting in his house , and he lost his footing and fell off - onto his head ! He died 7 days later . He was a very young 50 year old man who was very well known in our city as the owner of a sound recording studio and a very involved volunteer with his gifted musical abilities. He will be so missed by many .

Thank you for yet another opportunity for me to think , and get off my butt ! Life is too short to stew in my own self-pity.
